Abstract

This presentation has no illusion of scholarship. It is a personal review of the life and central ideas of Paulo Freire. A special look at their contribution to pedagogy, agricultural extension and civic education. The sections written by Freire in the last book of his life, Pedagogía de la autonomía, are presented almost without comment.
