Abstract

Based on research conducted through a case study at the Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency (ABEN), Bolivia, the study analyzes the low representation of women in STEM disciplines and their scarce presence in high-level decision-making positions. It highlights how gender equality can improve public management and promote inclusive leadership. According to the author, challenges persist in increasing female participation at higher levels and in advanced training, even though there are policies and programs aimed at fostering the inclusion and visibility of women in science and technology.
