Author Biography

Stéphanie Alenda, Universidad Andrés Bello

Stéphanie Alenda is the Director of Research of the faculty of Education and Social Sciences at Universidad Andrés Bello. She is also member of the doctoral program in Critical Theory and present-day Society at Universidad Andrés Bello.

Alenda holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Lille (France) and completed a post-doctoral program sponsored by France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She holds a master’s degree (DEA) in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris.

Dr. Alenda was the editor of the Political Journal published by Universidad de Chile’s Institute for Public Affairs and served as the lead researcher on projects funded by FONDECYT, Ecos-Conicyt, and CNRS-Conicyt.

She is a member of the board of the Research Committee on Political Sociology (International Political Science Association RC06/ISA RC18)
